Word of the Week - Essentials - We can crunch down last week to one major thing: Change of focus. For the next 2 months, it will be all about business.

I had a meeting with Artjom on Friday morning and without further ado, we've landed on one main thing: I need to focus on making sure "I don't die". In other words, I have to focus on cash flow first and foremost. We agreed that I have 60 days to put this in order. What happens if I don't? Doesn't matter, I will have to figure it out, otherwise, why am I even playing this game?

The game has already started. Over the next two months, I will be reporting on what I'll be learning along the way about finding clients, communicating with them, etc. I'm sure it will involve going out of my comfort zone more than I ever did so far in my life. It will be special series of blog posts under this same thread of posts, but they will be titled differently to differentiate them from the band updates.

It begins with accepting that money is one of the measuring tools of contribution. We all know that people generally don't like to part with their money unless they feel whatever they're getting in exchange is of equal or greater value to them. If I'm contributing something that you can put a price on it, so be it.

At the same time, I'm putting more focus on taking note of how much I value my own time, energy, and definitely skillset. Even more so, how I'm presenting all of those to others. Am I communicating my contribution, or am I just talking about it?
